DMARC Monitoring

See who's sending email as your domain. Automatically process DMARC reports and get actionable insights.

What Is DMARC Monitoring?

DMARC monitoring means automatically receiving, parsing, and analyzing the DMARC aggregate reports that email providers send about your domain. Every time Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, or another provider processes an email claiming to be from your domain, they record whether it passed SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks. These results are compiled into daily XML reports and sent to the address in your DMARC record.

Without a DMARC monitoring tool, these reports pile up as unreadable XML files in an inbox nobody checks. With MailShield, they are processed automatically and turned into a clear dashboard that shows exactly which sources are sending email as your domain, whether they are authenticating correctly, and whether any unauthorized senders need your attention.

What You See in MailShield

Your DMARC monitoring dashboard gives you a complete picture of email activity on your domain, updated automatically as new reports arrive.

Email Source Discovery

See every IP address sending email as your domain, whether it is your mail server, a marketing platform, or an unauthorized sender.

Authentication Status

SPF and DKIM pass/fail results for every source, so you know exactly which senders are authenticating correctly and which are not.

Alignment Tracking

Monitor whether the From domain in each email matches the domains used in SPF and DKIM checks. Alignment is what makes DMARC work.

Volume Trends

Track email counts over time to understand sending patterns, spot anomalies, and measure the impact of configuration changes.

Threat Detection

Unauthorized senders are flagged automatically. Know the moment someone starts sending email pretending to be your domain.

Policy Guidance

MailShield tells you when your authentication data is strong enough to safely tighten your DMARC policy, so you move to enforcement with confidence.

DMARC Report Analyzer

DMARC aggregate reports are dense XML files that are nearly impossible to read manually. MailShield's DMARC report analyzer processes every report automatically and presents the data in a clear, searchable dashboard.

Reports from Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and every other provider that supports DMARC are all processed and normalized into the same view. You see authentication results per source, volume breakdowns, and trend lines without touching a single XML file.

From Monitoring to Enforcement

DMARC monitoring is the first step. The goal is full enforcement, where unauthorized email is rejected outright. MailShield guides you through every stage.

1p=none

Monitor

Start by collecting data. DMARC reports flow in, you see who is sending email as your domain, and nothing is blocked. This is where every domain should begin.

2p=quarantine

Quarantine

Once you have identified and authorized all legitimate senders, move to quarantine. Unauthenticated emails are sent to spam instead of the inbox.

3p=reject

Reject

Full enforcement. Email that fails DMARC is rejected outright. Your domain is fully protected against impersonation and spoofing.
